How to maintain healthy liver

Here are other strategies to improve your liver. Test properly. Your doctor will request liver function tests as part of your yearly physical or medication follow-up appointments. 

Observe symptoms. Fatigue and black urine might signal liver issues. Taddei says yellow skin or eyes suggest jaundice. “Abdominal edoema might be a symptom of heart failure or liver illness

The Stress-Diabetes Link. Use OTC drugs sparingly.  Ask your doctor how much acetaminophen you may safely take. Acetaminophen is commonly mentioned as "APAP" or "acetam" on allergy and cold drugs, so check labels to avoid doubling up.

Consume wisely. "Your food should be fresh, not packaged," explains Taddei. Sugary and fatty processed meals increase the risk of diabetes, which harms the liver.

Active. Aerobic and resistance activities promote insulin resistance and fatty acid oxidation, both significant strategies in treating fatty liver disease. Do 30 minutes of your favourite activity five times a week.
